Medicaid Compliant Annuity

I have never once had a client know that Medicaid compliant annuities existed until I mentioned them. One of my least favorite phenomenon is that folks assume that they have to spend down and relinquish all assets to Medicaid. Retention of assets is often an option (saving for transfer of wealth to beneficiaries will not be). With proper planning that is simply NOT the case.
